Mango lassi

Mangoes top the chart as the "King of fruits" for Indians. You'll find mango lassi in most Indian restaurant's menu because not only is it popular, it is also easy to make and you can turn in quite a tidy profit when you use mango essence instead of real fruit. There are very few restaurants that can make it just right though. Often, I find that the overwhelming flavor of the essence lends a bitter taste to this wonderful beverage that is good enough for God Almighty. That is sacrilege. And that's exactly why I decided to make a post about it. It's not the healthiest item on the menu but it is the most delicious. Sugar is optional here but if you are going to do something wrong, I'd say you do it right.

Ingredients :

1. Mango pulp - 1 cup (Deep kesar mango pulp found in most Indian stores)

2. Yogurt - 1.5 cups (Preferably Greek)

3. Milk - 1/3 cup

4. Sugar - 1 tbsp (Optional)

5. Saffron - 4-5 threads

Procedure :

1. Blend everything together in a blender and serve chilled.
